This course introduces webMethods ActiveTransfer within the Software AG webMethods suite to do Managed File Transfer (MFT). MFT is a process that ensures protected internal and external data transfers in a centralized system for B2B, Application to Application (A2A), cloud-based or ad-hoc environments. Collaboration is the most common reason for transferring files. Due to increased reliance on Partners, the number of files companies exchanges with them increases every year. Participants learn through lessons and intensive hands-on exercises how to create ActiveTransfer Servers and setup users to do secure file transfers using various protocols. The students will also prepare scheduled and/or event driven transfers and post-processing actions and alerts. They will also learn how to use advanced features such as Throttling, Acceleration and IP Security. Moreover participants will configure a specialized ActiveTransfer Gateway server, using the Gateway feature to enable internal ActiveTransfer server to process requests from external clients, using any of the protocols already indicated. Additionally participants will do monitoring, auditing and analytics on file transfers.
