In this course, participants are provided with information on how to build an Apama query application using the graphical Query Designer tool. This course includes slide presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises. Apama queries allow business analysts and developers to create scalable applications to process events originating from very large populations of real-world entities, such as credit cards, bank accounts, cell phones. Typically, you want to independently examine a set of events associated with each entity, that is, all events related to a particular credit card account, bank account, or cell phone. A query application operates on a huge number of independent sets with a relatively small number of events in each set. Apama queries are designed to be easy to develop for both the business analyst and the application developer. This course describes how to use the visual Query Designer in Apama Studio, which enables business analysts to easily create, review, and edit queries.
